Idiotic In Retrospect

I was thinking about something this morning. Think back to what was in sports commentary a year ago.

1) Tiki Barber criticizes his coach and his QB. Tiki said among other things that the Giants made a huge mistake letting Kerry Collins go in favor of Eli Manning. Just for clarification, that's the Super Bowl MVP Eli Manning. I love Tiki Barber, but he should be ridiculed for such an idiotic series of statements that proved so ridiculous in retrospect.

2) Kobe Bryant wants to be traded. Why? ... because he felt like the Los Angeles Lakers had tricked him into staying on a bad team. He felt that he was the only player on the Lakers roster and should go somewhere where he thought he had a chance of winning. That was before this season... where the Lakers are the number 1 seeded team in the ridiculously talented Western Conference. This without making any major moves to satisfy Kobe's demands. Way to go, Kobe. That's the high school education working for you right there. In retrospect, that was idiotic.

A Great Podcast

I'm not going to recommend my top 3 podcasts since TWiT, Car Talk, and Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me are all extremely well known. 'Round these parts, I think this would be a better recommendation:

CBC Radio's Search Engine

The host is Jesse Brown and he has some great interviews. My favorite piece so far has been on the movie Zeitgeist. The classic line, "Well I'm either not covering the movie Zeitgeist because I'm being controlled by a vast group of elitist bankers who created Christianity, assassinated Kennedy, and faked the moon landing or I'm not covering the movie Zeitgeist because the movie is a steaming pile of bull s**t." The show is a mix of This American Life (in production/style), TWiT (covers tech frequently), the old History Channel always learning something new) and Saturday Night Live (sometimes hilarious).

Completely unrelated: My favorite episode of Scrubs was just aired. The musical episode. Classic.

A fun way to kill time.

The iPhone has been great for the times in my life when I need to kill time. Sometimes I read Google News. Sometimes, I play games. Most of the time, I browse YouTube. There are some great documentaries, crazy conspiracy theory exposes, and music videos that I always love. However, there is a type of video that never fails to lift my spirits:

I don't care much for the title given to that particular video, but I think this is hilarious. Try it out if you are tired of watching sxePhil or a girl with baggy sweatpants, Reeboks with the straps, who may be giving that big booty a slap.
