My iPhone Killer and the Obama-love

Two things I just had to get off my chest:

The Obama-drooling media is out of hand. The Washington Post ran a story detailing the workout regiment of Barack Obama. After mentioning the 90 minute-a-day gym visits and the 48 day streak, it praised him for being the fittest president. My problem? It's not that he's fit. I respect the heck out of him for that. It's that the same newspaper ran a story about President Bush's workout regiment which is somewhat less involved and called him a fanatic and possibly unfit to serve as president for it. I remember the story at the time because President Bush is a 4:00 marathoner and they were criticizing him for it. It amazed me. And now this. Another thing that amazes me is that some people think there isn't and wasn't a media bias for this guy.

The next is a development that could be my personal iPhone killer:

There may be some kinks in it. Can I talk on it with it not in speaker mode? What is the battery life like? Will I get teased if I start wearing a yellow overcoat? All very important questions if this is to replace my iPhone.

Student Involvement and a Fake Butt

I'm on campus to give a final exam and I've noticed something. There are tons of students here at 7:00 PM. I'm here a lot at this time and I'm always one of the few. If only the students would get more involved with class like this on a weekly basis, college would be so much more beneficial to them.

I also have to point out the funniest Google News image choice. Yes, it's someone sticking a finger into a fake butt. I know I'm 27, but I still find this hilarious.

Nutrition/Activity Chart

I found the following daily summary chart interesting. It is from yesterday, November 30th, and shows exactly why I can't lose weight. Pizza for breakfast. Lunch over 1,000 calories. I burned almost 3,500 calories by running 18 miles and barely created a calorie surplus. I just took a fitness and nutrition assessment at the gym and got a 8.2/10 for fitness and a 1.6/10 for nutrition. This is why:

If you happen to be interested in this application, it's the MyPlate App for the iPhone. It has a pretty decent interface at livestrong.com. I'm hoping that it will help me be more responsible with my nutrition and possibly lose a few pounds before my marathon in January.
